Hello folks!
As the deadline for the Whodunit?! Murder mystery forms closes in, I saw fit to release one final update to give you guys an idea of what to expect as our event draws to a close.
As you know, the deadline for murder mystery forms is March 31 at midnight my time, US Central. At that time, all the forms will be gathered and graded and the IC announcement about the execution will be posted. The graded forms and the prizes will be posted within 24 hours of the deadline, and the execution thread will be opened immediately!
You are welcome to turn your whodunit?! Forums in right up to the deadline, and if you want to make additions or changes to your form after it’s already been submitted, just shoot us a PM!
So, how are we being ‘graded’?
Good question! Your Whodunit?! Forums are being graded like math tests…meaning there is partial credit, and we’ll give you as much as we can based on how much of your work you show! The admin team have compiled a list of correct, semi-correct and acceptable answers to each of the questions . Each answer has been assigned a maximum point value.
When grading your form, we will go through and give you as many possible points as we can based on what you give us to work with. The more detail the better, especially in your timeline of the murder. We know these kinds of games can be difficult and there are many misleading clues; we want to reward you for your effort, not necessarily just your skill at playing clue ;) In many cases, ‘wrong’ answers are still worth partial credit just for being on the right track.
So what about these glorious prizes?
Another amazing question. Once your forms have been graded, the correct answers and the full list of acceptable answers will be posted in public view. Each member will receive a PM containing their graded sheet, their winning, and a link to a special prize shop where they can spend said winnings.
In the prize shop, players can use their points to purchase prizes for three tiered lists. Players who earn more points will have access to higher tiered prizes. The player who scores the highest will win the grand prize.
Cool…So what kind of loot are we talking here?
I’m glad you asked. Check out these lists for a sneak peak at the prizes. I’m not going to tell you how many points they cost, though..If you see something you like, you’d better make your best effort to get enough points!
Well that’s super sexy, Blue! Is there anything else?
Damn right there is. There will be a power realignment after the execution, leaving openings for Wingleaders, Wingseconds, a Weyrlingmaster for the next PC clutch, and ‘unofficial’ positions of power for the lower-ranked Katilans who have to seek power through other channels. Players interested in any of this action should PM me ASAP. There’s a spot for everyone who wants one!
I wanna play a role in the execution drama, too!
You do? Cool. Hit me up, because I want need you!
So there we have it. Have any questions? PM or ask away! Otherwise, get to work on those forms! I’ll see you on April 1st!
