“I’m sure once he’s allowed to visit that Lord Habraxel will clear his schedule for you. He must be so proud,” it felt like a safe assumption to make from what she knew of the Lord and the simple fact that he was fine with I’vens being Searched. The fact that his nephew was now a bronzerider as well would be worth boasting about, though Mylorah also suspected the man would have been fine with any colour with how cool he seemed and the gossip floating around about him. “And I love the heat so I’ll be very happy on the tour. I’m actually a little sad I Impressed here since staying in Ista Weyr would have been heavenly.” But she couldn’t turn down Standing for a clutch one of her brothers’ dragons sired! She was happy Amagrith was a child of Xyxyth but a Tiberuth baby would have been special just because of how extra happy K’dar would have been.
Mylorah laughed at having her men labelled as being attached to her. “Yeah, I suppose they are. I was worried I somehow caused their Impressions but Amagrith said that I don’t need them to get through weyrlinghood but keeping them close brings me happiness. She’s taken to that idea surprisingly well so far.” That was likely because she was doing her best not to think about how wonderful each man made her feel and how she might shatter if she never got to see either of them again. She didn’t want to test that theory with the dragonets still being ridiculously young so she tried to keep her feelings on lockdown and treat all of her classmates about the same.
It was why she started running her fingers through I’vens’ hair in a gentle touch to help him relax for that needed nap. She didn’t mind that he claimed her lap since others—including dragons—had already taken a liking to doing the same thing. “I’m sure I can think of some boring stories to help lull you to sleep. And maybe the playing will help Sherekhath tire out as well for a group nap.” It really was a nice morning and a good time to rest under the sun but she would hold out on that desire as she fulfilled the promise if watching the young dragons play.
